How to compare snack value
- Compare portion sizes: a $12 plate may be more or less filling than a $7.50 starter.
- Check your day: an offer valid Monday–Friday may not apply during the weekend.
- Look for extra charges: taxes, tip and published mandatory gratuities affect the real total.
- Confirm the location: promotions and portions may vary between branches.
- Do not assume a deal: a regular starter price is not automatically a happy-hour discount.
What should you drink with these snacks?
Sparkling water with citrus, unsweetened iced tea and lemonade are easy pairing ideas. We have not verified that these specific restaurants sell or discount those beverages, so check the drinks menu first. Alcohol is not necessary for a great snack outing.
Looking for Chicago snack deals?
We also compared three Chicago restaurants’ official happy-hour menus, with a hot-honey chicken slider, fried pickles and Spanish tortilla. These are venue-specific prices, not national guarantees.
Are these NYC’s cheapest appetizers?
This guide does not make that claim. It is a small, transparent list of verifiable examples, not a citywide ranking. A low menu price without portion size or deal conditions is not enough to establish the best overall value.
Prefer a snack at home?
Make our garlic cheese toast bites or browse quick alcohol-free drinks for wings. Both are written for easy home preparation rather than restaurant dining.
